Prepare for IELTS
We run a full range of IELTS preparation courses to make sure you get your best result.
Prepare for IELTSThe Test Report Form tells you your IELTS score and will be available 13 days after you have taken your test or 3-5 days if you have taken IELTS on a computer. You can have it posted to you or see it online in your Test Taker Portal (it’s available for 28 days after publication).
The test gives you a score for each section (Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking) – the average of these gives you your overall band score.
Your IELTS score will usually be valid for two years, but you should check the rules of the organisation you’re applying to.
When you register for your test, you can nominate up to five organisations to be sent your IELTS Test Report Form directly. If you would like us to do this, please contact the test centre within two years of taking your test. This is free if you do it before test day, and there’s a small fee if you do it afterwards.
If you believe your test has been scored incorrectly, you can apply for it to be marked again.
You’ll need to follow the Enquiry on Results (EOR) procedure.
To have one or more components of your test re-marked you’ll need to download and complete an Enquiry on Results EOR form. The fee is £110 for the UK, 495ILS for Israel. Please send the completed form to us. The form must be returned within six weeks of your test date. Requests received after six weeks will not be accepted.
Once we receive your form and payment, we will send the appropriate test materials to the British Council to be remarked.
The British Council will inform us of their decision within 2-21 days approximately; we will then tell you the outcome of your appeal.
If your score changes as a result of the remark, you will be refunded the fee and will be issued with a new Test Report Form. If your score does not change, you will not be refunded.
